Approve CalendarPrint for Outlook for your organisation
A one-time approval by an IT administrator that lets everyone in your organisation sign in and use CalendarPrint — reading their own and shared calendars, and adding meeting rooms.
Why is this needed?
Many organisations require an administrator to approve a third-party app before users may grant it access. In those tenants, users see a “Needs admin approval” message when they try to sign in — even for reading their own calendar. Granting this approval once, for the whole tenant, lets your users sign in and use CalendarPrint (including the meeting-room feature) with no further prompts. If your organisation allows users to consent for themselves, only the meeting-room directory (a tenant-wide resource) still needs this admin step.
Option 1 — One-click admin consent (recommended)
Sign in with a Global Administrator or Privileged Role Administrator account, review the permissions, and click Accept. That approves the app for every user at once.
This one approval covers everything the app needs — sign-in and meeting rooms — so you only grant consent once. Use this link rather than approving inside the add-in, which would only cover sign-in and leave rooms for a second step.
The link opens:

Option 2 — Through the Microsoft Entra admin center
- Open entra.microsoft.com → Applications → Enterprise applications.
- Search for CalendarPrint for Outlook (publisher: NOVIX ApS). If it isn’t listed yet, use Option 1 once — that registers it in your tenant.
- Open it → Security → Permissions → Grant admin consent for <your organisation> → Accept.
What the app can access — and why
| Permission (delegated) | Used for | Needs admin? |
|---|---|---|
User.Read | Identify the signed-in user. | No |
Calendars.Read | Read the user’s own (and shared) calendar for the print. | No |
Place.Read.All | List the organisation’s meeting rooms. | Yes — this page |
Every permission is delegated and read-only — the add-in only ever reads what the signed-in user can already see, and never writes, sends, or deletes anything. There is no write permission of any kind.
Verified publisher
The app is published by NOVIX ApS and is Microsoft publisher-verified, so it shows the blue verified badge on the consent screen.
What your users experience
- Without this approval (tenants that require admin consent): users are stopped at sign-in with a “Needs admin approval” message and a link to this page.
- Without this approval (tenants that allow user consent): users sign in and print their own and shared calendars normally; only adding a meeting room shows a notice pointing here.
- After you approve: everyone in your organisation can sign in and use CalendarPrint — calendars and meeting rooms — with no further prompts.
This page covers the modern Outlook add-in (AppSource) and its meeting-room feature. Questions? Contact support@outlookcalendarprint.com.
