Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about CalendarPrint for Outlook.

Plans & pricing

What does the $49 cover?

$49 per user per year. One subscription covers everything we make — the Classic VSTO Add-in, the Modern Outlook Add-in and CalendarPrint.com (our web app), all three available today. Use them on up to 5 of your own devices for as long as your subscription is active.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — a 30-day free trial with no credit card. Activate the Classic Add-in (or unlock CalendarPrint.com’s premium features) with just your email. One trial per email address; it becomes a paid subscription only if you choose to subscribe.

I started a trial and saved work in CalendarPrint.com. Do I keep it when I subscribe?

Yes — as long as you subscribe with the same email address you used for the trial. Your projects and events are stored against your email, not against the trial, so subscribing simply unlocks them again. Nothing is deleted when a trial expires either: an expired trial locks the premium features, but everything you saved stays exactly where it was, however long it sits there.

The one case to watch is buying under a different address — for example trialling with your own work email and then subscribing through a shared billing address. Sign in with the new address and you will see an empty designer, because as far as your saved work is concerned that is a different person. Nothing is lost; it is simply filed under the other email. Contact us and we will move the subscription’s seat onto your original address, and your projects reappear.

Can I pay in my local currency?

Yes. Prices are shown and charged in your local currency where supported, detected automatically. Card payments run through Stripe; PayPal is also available at checkout.

What happens if my subscription ends?

You stay subscribed until the end of your paid term, then activation stops and the add-in will refuse to print. The app stays installed and your settings and templates are preserved — resubscribing reactivates everything instantly. Nothing is deleted.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Sign in to your account on this site to see your subscription, update payment details, or cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current term ends.

The apps

What’s included — what are the three apps?

The Classic VSTO Add-in for classic Outlook on Windows, CalendarPrint.com, our browser-based calendar designer, and the Modern Outlook Add-in for the new Outlook, Outlook on the web, Mac and Teams. All three are available today and covered by the one subscription.

What is CalendarPrint.com?

A free browser-based app for designing print-ready PDF calendars — yearly, monthly, weekly, daily and Gantt layouts. You add events by hand or import them from an .ics file (the kind Outlook, Google Calendar and Apple Calendar export), tweak the design, and download the PDF. It’s the way to print non-Outlook calendars. The designer and PDF download are free; your subscription unlocks the premium features (save event packs, share links, email the PDF, unlimited Gantt events).

Classic VSTO vs Modern Add-in — what’s the difference?

The Classic VSTO Add-in runs in classic (desktop) Outlook on Windows and works fully offline — ideal for regulated, on-prem environments. The Modern Add-in is a ground-up rewrite on Microsoft’s Office JS platform for the new Outlook, Outlook on the web, Outlook for Mac and Teams. It’s live on AppSource and your subscription includes it. It does require a Microsoft 365 work or school account — on a personal Microsoft account, use the Classic Add-in or CalendarPrint.com instead.

Is the Modern Add-in just a web wrapper around the Classic one?

No. It’s a complete ground-up rewrite on the Office JS platform. It shares the print engine and layouts with the Classic version, but it’s a genuinely native add-in for the new Outlook — not a wrapper.

Will the Classic VSTO Add-in keep getting updates?

Yes. As long as VSTO add-ins are supported in classic Outlook, we ship updates. Many customers run regulated, on-prem deployments that will never move — we won’t abandon them.

Install & deployment

How do I install the Classic Add-in?

Download the signed one-click installer and run it — no admin rights, no MSI. It registers itself in Outlook and keeps itself up to date automatically. Then activate with your email (paid subscription or 30-day trial).

Does it work offline?

The Classic VSTO Add-in works fully offline once activated. The Modern Add-in needs a one-time online activation, then runs against your local Outlook cache — on planes, in tunnels, wherever Outlook itself works.

Can I deploy to my whole organization?

The Classic Add-in installs per user without admin rights, so it’s easy to roll out. The Modern Add-in deploys centrally from the Microsoft 365 admin center (Integrated Apps) — no MSI, no GPO, no per-machine install. See the deployment guide, and talk to us about volume licensing for larger teams.

Licensing & activation

How does activation work?

Activate with your email address — no licence keys to copy around. You get a one-time code by email, enter it once, and the app is licensed. The same email signs you in to CalendarPrint.com’s premium features too.

How many devices can I use?

Your subscription covers up to 5 of your own devices — for example a desktop, a laptop and the web app. It’s a per-user subscription, not a per-machine licence.

Privacy & support

What happens to my calendar data?

Your calendar content stays where it lives — in Outlook, or in your browser for CalendarPrint.com. The apps read what they need to build the print and don’t sell or share your data. See our privacy policy for the details.

Are you affiliated with Microsoft?

No. CalendarPrint for Outlook is an independent product from a small Danish team. We’re a registered Microsoft Partner, but we’re not part of Microsoft. Outlook is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation.

How do I get support?

Use our contact page — a real human replies within a business day. Feature requests are welcome too.
